The computer is 65G memory, sybase go 30G log and data on separate physical devices on 2 zfs pools, 2 disk arrays eon/sata.

I can dump smaller database but no matter how do i configure the bck server or use stripes, the dump starts and when approaching 8%, then the server stops responding and I got nothing left than kill it.

Sybase support answers that last update 60 or 61 (ebf or esd, i dont really know) if anybody is sharing the same issue and got a work arround ...
Tryed also compression 100 and got same result.

Presently to replicate on a Stby Server i got nothing left than quiesce/copy devices and mount which is an heavy operation.
