I have Sybase 12.5 and i'm trying to use Sybase Central to Administer my
Sybase DB instead of using iSQL. When i open Sybase Central, I am only able
to see the UTILITIES. I need to be able to see what DATABASES are avaialble
including the Master and etc. Some link or instruction would be helpful.

Any assistance would be helpful.

Thanks in Advance.

Few things to check ..

do you have proper entries in sql.ini file ?.Try to add the entries
through dsedit so that they are inserted in proper manner
In Pre ASE 12.0 versions of ASE plugin, all the servers names were
automatically displayed in the viewer which is not the case with 12.x
versions. If you are using it for first time, you need to register the
initial connection from tools-connect.
Next time when you use Sybase Central you can see the server names you
connected earlier

Thanks

Couple of things you need to see ASE databases in Sybase
Central.

You need to install the ASE 12.5 Plugin for your version of
sybase Central. Register the plug in by going to
tools/plugin and identifying the .dll or java library. Once
that done, you can either define a connection profile for
each of your servers or just connect to a server by choosing
the server from list ( this comes from the sql.ini file from
your $SYBASE/ini folder ) and providing needed credentials.
Once connected, you should be able to see all of the
databases on the server.
