I have attached an April 2004 DBPowerSuite license for Linux. You may
download the software from http://www.dbpowersuite.com.
This software is capable of extremely simplifing your UNIX/SQL script
writing, your backup procedures, and the general maintenance of your Sybase
databases. Every DBPowerSuite program returns an meaningful exit code.
Therefore, you can execute SQL in your UNIX script and check for the
program's exit code to see if your SQL ran properly. No more grepping for
"Msg".
The software also comes with built-in ODBC drivers for MySQL and
Postgres. The software is capable of moving data between MySQL, Sybase,
Postgres and any database you have an ODBC driver for. If you already
using unixODBC or Data Direct ODBC drivers, you can instantly move data
between Sybase and Oracle, DB2, etc. .When your shop uses Sybase, you are at
an extreme advantage because DBPowerSuite uses Sybase's system tables as its
generic data dictionary.
There are over 135 C++ programs in DBPowerwuite.
DBPowerSuite has an entire SDK which you can build your C++ apps with.
