This letter itself is your DBPowerSuite license. To install this license:
1. First save this letter as a text file. For example: 'license.txt'
2. Download the latest DBPowerSuite from http://www.talussoftware.com
3. Install DBPowerSuite according to instructions in the download.
4. Once you have installed DBPowerSuite, then you install the license.
To install this license (assuming you named the file 'license.txt')
type:
psInstallLicense -I license.txt
We license DBPowerSuite on a per-computer basis. A one computer
license
enables you to run DBPowerSuite on a single computer. Talus Software
grants all
users of the computer the privilege to run DBPowerSuite at the same time on
the
computer as long as DBPowerSuite is running only on that one computer. If
you
run DBPowerSuite on more than one computer, then you must pay for a
two-or-more
computer license. As you know, it is possible to install DBPowerSuite once
and remote share the DBPowerSuite directory to many other computers. We
license
DBPowerSuite based on where you are running DBPowerSuite, not on where you
installed DBPowerSuite. If you run DBPowerSuite on more computers than you
have
paid licenses for, then you are knowingly breaking the terms of the
agreement,
violating copyright laws, and subjecting yourself to possible prosecution.
We have not limited the software and its license to run on any specific
computer. However, this does not give you the 'copyright' to install or run
the software on more computers than which you paid licenses for. Although
it is possible for us to program the software such that it works only on one
computer, neither you nor we want to deal with the extra administrative
overhead which that would create. So we have decided to trust you. You
are on the honor system.
