Hello

I would like to save some local settings on the mobile device that are NOT overwritten when the application is updated.
I tried to use an ini file in the cache, but the settings are not written to the ini file.

I read something about not updating all files with a new version of the application. But it sounded to me as if in that case only new files are installed on the mobile device, not the changed files.

Is there a way to save the local settings independent of the installation?

Kind regards,
Saskia

Hi Saskia

What's the detailed error with the INI file on your end? Please do not use fileexists to determine whether the INI exists or not.
You only need to add the INI files (that your app uses) in Application Profile Configuration > Additional Files > Deploy INI Files in Appeon Developer. Please refer the help in the below link for details.

Hello

I do not get an error when writing to the ini file, just nothing happens.

As to configuring the ini file with the deploy ini files, those ini files get overwritten on the mobile device whenever the application gets an update.
In that case the saved local settings are reset and that is exactly what I don't want to happen.

As I set in my earlier post, I need to save some local settings on the mobile device. Any way to do this?

Kind regards,
Saskia
