In case anyone has ever wanted to visit Finland, this summer presents a great occasion - the celebration of 25 years Sahaja Yoga. (We were in Finland for their national seminar and it was really wonderful - so many artists and musicians in this country of the right vishuddhi/hamsa expressing their love so beautifully…)

COME TO FINLAND / AUGUST 16th & 17th 

Have you been looking for an excuse to travel to beautiful Finland for years? This summer it will finally happen! The date for your trip is August 15th to 18th! :)

16-17TH OF AUGUST 2014 in HELSINKI, FINLAND

To mark exactly 25 years from Shri Mataji's first visit to Finland and the start of establishing Sahaja Yoga in Finland, we will celebrate by organizing a big concert in the centre of Helsinki!

The venue is Savoy Theatre, a very well-known and established performing place especially in the field of world music. There are 735 seats, so we hope to get many many visitors from all the Nordic countries as well... The concert is of course open to the public and will feature a self-realization session led by Anandita Basu.

The name of the concert is GONDHARI  -  Shri Mataji spoke after a Finnish version of the song which she said meant: 'We are the followers of Mother'.

The theme is India, but it is interpreted in a very wide way - at the moment the lineup is:

INDIALUCIA, fusion music with influences from Spanish flamenco and Indian classical music

SHAVA, 'Punjabi' bhangra with Finnish lyrics

ANADITA BASU, sufi qawwali singer

QAWWALI BROS, Finnish qawwali band

Last item willl be MAHAQAWWALI with all the evening's performers coming together for a couple of explosive songs!

Tickets are 15e/adults, 10e/students & unemployed, 7e/children 13-18y (smaller children for free).

Tickets are sold by Lippupalvelu (Finnish Ticketmaster) but we have 'yogi tickets' at our disposal so please book by e-mailing Tuomas at kante...@mac.com.

Besides the concert we will also have outdoor self-realization events with music all around town on Saturday daytime (10-16) and a Puja and celebration in a nice venue on Sunday August 17th.

Let us know if you want to participate to the weekend and we will give more information on travel, accommodation etc.

We want to see you in Helsinki to celebrate & commemorate 25 years of SY in Finland!
