Dear
Family,
If you
were in Oostende for the Puja, you know already the news about Everbeek:
Garden of Joy
This
is the name of the project that starts now (it will also be the name of
the needed label/brand for the organic products in the future).
This
project is a humble token of thankfulness to our Mother who gave us this
beautiful location and blessed it with Her vibrations.
Through this
project, the Sahaj collective wants to express its love and concern for the
whole community of yogis and neighboring people. Their goal is:
-
Manifest their love and respect to Shri Mataji in Her form of Mother Earth
-
Bring to the neighboring people the values that yogis have received through
their meditation
-
Create locally a supportive and collaborative community
-
Develop the capacity to be one with the Nature for themselves and visitors
-
Establish a lush garden full of biologic vitality
-
Establish a meditation center or meeting center.
These
goals will be put in practice by:
-The
use of the 1.6 ha of land to create a fruit and vegetable production land based
on principles of permaculture.
-The
opportunity offered to people to come and participate in the creation and
maintenance of this garden
"Garden
of Joy", the name of the project, has been voted on (out of two
proposed names) by the yogis attending the Diwali Puja last Sunday.
A Collective project
- Many yogis
have changed in their understanding and respect for their body, their
instrument and how to nourish it. Many of them are also concerned by the
way to protect the Mother Earth with the production methods and many have
turned to organic products.
- In the collective
unconscious, there is since long the awareness of the quality of the
place, quality of the soil, but of course first of all the quality of
Mother's vibrations in Her room.
- The whole idea of
cultivating the land was already in the collective unconscious and it was
a collective desire, slowly growing in the last two years. Several
yogis also firmly expressed this desire and asked the council/CV responsibles to
start thinking about it and take action.
- The Sahaja Yoga
collective is the key part of the project. "Garden of Joy"
offers space for:
- voluntary cooperation (physical work, especially in times of work
overload)
- buying organically grown vegetables from the ‘sahaj farm’ (e.g.
weekly ‘vegetable/fruit basket’, self-harvesting,…?)
- visiting some places/plots collectively where the result of
permaculture and organic farming can be seen (and felt)
- contribute financially for the buying of the most necessary material
to start (e.g. wood shredder – tunnel greenhouse – material for small
(self-made) greenhouses for seedlings,
- gather to watch films, documentary’s explaining the main principles
and showing the impressive results of the permaculture way of farming.
Around a gardener
- Aurelian Porumb,
Pimpernel v/d Burgt's husband, came once in Everbeek and was so
enthusiastic about the place that we started considering asking him to
come and cultivate the place. He comes from a Romanian farmer’s
family, is a Food Engineer and started studying, researching and putting
into practice permaculture in the past 2 -3 years. For all the people
concerned, vibrations were unanimously felt very cool to start this
project and collaborate with Aurel.
- At the moment,
Aurel and Pimpernel live and work in Borotin school. They will move to Everbeek in January.
- Aurel would like to
start producing as soon as possible (e.g. growing seedlings in spring).
Slowly and steadily something more
- All this should
also be a final profit that would return to and be used for
the maintenance and renovation of Nirmala House
- All this should
also bring to Everbeek more people, yogis and non-yogis and hopefully
spread our Mother's message.
And right now.....
- A small crew (Ann
Nagels, Sven Andreson, Carlos Versteele, Bernard Cuvellier) started
preparing the whole picture, in order to make it possible for the
project to set off as soon as Pimpernel and Aurel are in Belgium.
- If you think
"This should be done and I want to do it", please stand up and join
us.
Holy Mother,
Every
day, we get drenched into the showers of Your generosity;
May this
generosity flow back to You through this garden
and
bathe Your Divine Lotus Feet with the water of our devotion.
Jai Shri
Mataji!
Ann,
Aurel, Bernard, Carlos, Sven
