What’s New for MATLAB in R2006b Verification, Validation, and Test for Embedded Control Multi-Loop Control Design in Simulink - Made Easy Introducing SimBiology™: MathWorks Platform for Systems Biology

Free Webinar: Distributed Computing with MATLAB and Simulink â€"
November 1

This webinar, to be held on November 1, introduces the distributed and parallel computing products from The MathWorks. Through product demos, attendees will see how they can use the MATLAB and Simulink product families to decrease computation time and use larger data sets.

JLAB: MATLAB Freeware for Data Analysis

JLAB is a set of MATLAB functions written over the past ten years to analyze data. It consists of over three hundred M-files spanning twenty thousand lines of code. JLAB includes functions ranging in complexity from one-line aliases to high-level algorithms for certain specialized tasks..

Wykobi Computational Geometry Library

Wykobi is an efficient and robust multiplatform 2-D or 3-D computational geometry library. Wykobi provides an interface for geometric primitives and complex geometric routines using and conforming to the ISO/IEC 14882:2003 C++ language specification. The design and structure of Wykobi lends itself to easy and seamless integration into projects of any scale that require a robust yet efficient 2-D or 3-D computational geometry back-end.

EZ-R Stats for Excel

Free Excel support software for auditing. It includes the most commonly used audit functions, including statistics, gaps, duplicates, histograms, outliers, and telephone number area code checking.

MAT-file Viewer Plug-in for Total Commander

The MAT-file Viewer plug-in for Total Commander shows the variables of a MAT-file, their size (number of elements), their size in bytes, and their class. It is also possible to delete and display variables.

Acquiring Live Data into Simulink Models for Model-Based Design â€" November 14

Through live demonstrations and discussion, this webinar will show:

  • How to acquire live data directly into Simulink models
  • How to verify and validate your models using live, measured data
  • How to interface Simulink to data acquisition devices, sound cards, oscilloscopes, serial devices, cameras, and other hardware
  • Specific applications incorporating live data in Simulink

Introduction to MATLAB (Russian) â€" November 15

This webinar highlights the new features and capabilities in the R2006b release of MATLAB and its associated toolboxes. Through overview slides and product demonstrations, attendees will learn about the newest capabilities of the MATLAB product family.

Using MATLAB to Develop Asset Pricing Models â€" November 16

This webinar demonstrates how to use MATLAB and Financial Toolbox to develop and evaluate asset pricing models. We will focus on the Fama and French three-factor model with a twist â€" we will use the missing data capabilities of Financial Toolbox to price recent IPOs and to uncover possible short-term pricing anomalies. While grounded firmly in finance theory, this webinar shows how to produce solid and robust real-world results that bridge the gap between theory and practice.

Using Statistics for Uncertainty Analysis in System Models â€" November 30

This webinar highlights how MathWorks products let you quickly and easily incorporate uncertainty into your system models. Product demonstrations show how you can use MATLAB, Statistics Toolbox, and Curve Fitting Toolbox to quantify the accuracy of your system model and to perform uncertainty analysis.
