Subject: Update on Digibanker QA Testing
Hi Ma'am Liza,
Just to give you an update on Digibanker QA Testing. As mentioned on our walk-through last week, there were functions that are now ready for testing. Yesterday, I started to test Phase 2 functions hoping I could lessen the modules to test. However, I was
provided with only one module to test which is the SSS Real Time Payment. I started with the creation of a New Corporation which is part of Phase 1 unfortunately, an application error occurred in assigning and resetting of password. With this, I have to wait
for the error to be fixed before I could start to use the created corporation. When it is time for me to test the SSS functions, Application Error also occurred and it was a showstopper. My concern is that the only function available for testing was not properly
handled even if the scenario was just a happy flow. I find it hard what to prioritize because if one module did no work out properly, a new module will be provided and is not yet 100% ready for testing as per assigned developer. How can we meet the deadline
if the developer is not really sure if the module is really ready for testing. This will result in rushing the module and will only have a limited time to test all the functions to be delivered. The only improvement I noticed was the assigning of target version
in Redmine but the result is just the same. Not that the developer is not doing his/her task because I've seen them discussing on how to solve the problems being encountered. My primary objective is to test at least one module and perform Full Cycle testing
and avoid shifting from one module to another to prevent any delays and deliver the modules on time.
Regards,
Basty
