Meeting some old friends

Amrit, Debapriya, Somnath, and I met last night for dinner in Mountain
View California. I was meeting Amrit after 22 years. I had met
Debapriya a few weeks ago. I had last met Somnath in 2002. It was
amazing how quickly we picked up from the time when we had last met.
It was as if we had never been away from each other. I guess this is
what shared experiences from our formative years will do. My take
aways from the evening:

1. Amrit is still the same guy. However, his questioning style has
become more direct. Could be due to more confidence or the thin
veneer of politeness having worn out. :-)

2. Debapriya is definitely a gentleman now. How that happened still
amazes me.

3. Somnath is still quiet and shy.

I am sure they noticed changes in me beyond the paucity in the
follicular budget. I really enjoyed the evening and I look forward to
meeting more of you and hopefully more frequently.
