Warm festive greetings from the St. Xavier’s College (Calcutta) Alumni Association.

 

I feel pleased to share that on 10th October 2025, members of the North Bengal Chapter of SXCCAA organized flood relief initiatives to support families displaced by the recent floods in North Bengal, especially Darjeeling, Kalimpong & Jalpaiguri Districts of West Bengal.

 

Relief materials, including food items, clothing, medicines, umbrella, tarpaulins, blankets and hygiene kits were distributed to the displaced families at the Dudhey relief camp. In addition, representatives of the families from a remote village near Mirik and Sukiapokhri belt were provided with essential supplies, where road connectivity remained disrupted .

 

This collective effort reflects the true Xaverian spirit of compassion and selfless social service, as our members of North Bengal Chapter came together to bring comfort and hope to those in distress.

 

We extend heartfelt thanks to all the contributors, well-wishers and all active members of SXCCAA North Bengal Chapter who made this outreach initiative possible.
