Greetings from St. Xavier’s College (Calcutta) Alumni Association (SXCCAA).
SXCCAA has always given top priority to its philanthropic activities, extending support to the marginalised and the downtrodden of the society in conformity with the values and principles of being “Men & Women for Others” in the true spirit of NIHIL ULTRA.
For the last few years, SXCCAA has been supporting rural (South 24 pgns and Bholakhali) extension centre schools having more than 1400 students where quality education is imparted along with providing basic infrastructural & educational support equipment to such schools. Team SXCCAA has been working tirelessly to stand by and support the underprivileged and the marganilised sections of the society.
Over the past four years SXCCAA has been organising a unique philanthropic initiative keeping with the festive season called, ‘LET'S SHARE AND CARE', scheduled to be held on Sunday, 22nd December 2024 at the Paikhala Prathamik Vidyalay (the rural school run by SXCCAA) & Raghabpur campus of our College under the guidance and leadership of Rev Fr. Dr. Dominic Savio, SJ., Principal of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous) Calcutta and President, St. Xavier's College (Calcutta) Alumni Association.
'LET'S SHARE AND CARE' includes collection & distribution of stationary items like pencils, pens, eraser, rulers, crayons, big exercise copies, drawing books,,sports items etc. as well as daily essentials like packed snacks, chips, chocolates, soaps, noodles, biscuits, candies, sports items along with bath soaps, liquid soaps and other FMCG items, etc. for the hundreds of school students from financially challenged backgrounds as beneficiaries. SXCCAA will be providing food items and other essential items to the residents of Old Age Homes, to the specially abled children and HIV + children, to make their festive day more meaningful and grand.
We are hopeful that this initiative will bring smiles to more than 1400 school children including the poorest of the poor from the schools and extension centres being supported by SXCCAA.
