I have repeatedly contacted Google about all the SPAM we are receiving on the google group.

The manager of the group needs to look for members who are not real and are spamming us.

Or if we can't seem to be able to control this, it is my opinion that we should change this.

The web host that I am providing has the capacity to manage email lists. Or we could switch to Yahoo or some other hosted discussion group.

Hi David.

I was just thinking the same thing. I am still a manager of the listserve, but hadn’t been on there in years as a manager. Anyway, I can access the account again and just this week I went through and blocked several of the spam email accounts. Just looking at the list it is tough to tell a spam from a member sometimes, so it takes getting the spam first and then going back into the count and blocking. I wish too that google had a better spam filter so that this wasn’t necessary.

 

I will check the account periodically and block spammers that I can catch.
