update sw-versions

Hi,

How is sw-versions supposed to be updated when installing new software?
From my understanding, swupdate is only reading this file to be able to
compare versions, but does not update it if new versions is installed.
Is that correct?

It is up to you to decide how.

SWUpdate does not write this file. Ther eis no common or standardized
way to get versions of components.

The usual way is to setup a service during boot that populate sw-versions.
