updating sw-revisions file

Hi all

In sw-description, when an update gets installed, how to append name and version of the application update in sw-revisions file?

Assume install-if-different is used in sw-description.

Rephrasing, once the image update or application update completes, in order to only accept a new update (skip same update), its name and version number need to be added in file. Will sw-update handles that else how to fetch that information to update sw-revisions file

Can embedded scripts be asked to do this? About embedded scripts in sw-description, they are executed at parse time and before any handle is called. If this is true then this, embedded scripts will always act as pre-install script whereas I am looking for post-install behavior where after update, relevant update name and versions are recorded. How to do this?
