Hi all,

I guess it's an already known problem. I try using PaperClips on
Ubuntu/Linux with GTK. When using TextPrint with default FontData.
It's produce a text which is too big.

Is there any solution to fix this?

Thanks

I haven't researched the windows printing issue, but I can tell you that Linux is worse.  There are problems with either SWT or cairo (the rendering engine on Linux that SWT uses) that make everything render just huge.  I use Linux day to day for a year now, and still haven't found a workaround.

I suggest as a troubleshooting measure on Windows, to modify your test snippet (with the very large font) to wrap the TextPrint in a BorderPrint with a LineBorder.  Send us a PDF or image of the printout and hopefully that will tell us something to go on.

Now that you mention this, I've try running Snippet138 from SWT. It's a very basic printing snippet. It's also produce an over-sized text. So the problem seams to be located in SWT it self and not PaperClips.

Here the bug repport in SWT : https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=150870
