Hi!

We're a student group at Linkopings university, Sweden, that are working on a project where we are going to use a kinect together with a SIA20 robot from Yaskawa. The purpose is to create a safe environment where humans can work side by side with the robot.

The robot is connected to a DX100 controller from which we would like to get data, regarding the robots orientation, and send controlling commands. From what we do currently understand we need to use the Motoplus SDK for this. Is this only compatible with ros hydro version? How do we get access to Motoplus SDK?

Grateful full for answer!

Greetings

/ Paer Lundgren with project group

Hi Paer,

If you plan to build the motoman_driver and need the MotoPLUS SDK and IDE, you can get that from YASKAWA.

For using the motoman_driver in the DX100, you need a MotoPLUS enabled system software (version ends with -14).
