Southwest Regional Folk Alliance (SWRFA) 1st update

Hi everybody –
The 2007 Southwest Regional Folk Alliance (SWRFA) is coming right up. This year, as last, it will be held at the Woodward Hotel in Austin. The dates are Oct 4 – 7, with an early bird event at the Cactus Café on Oct 3rd for all of the registered artists to have an additional opportunity to perform.
The showcase and registration forms have been updated. The buttons don’t work yet but the forms are available to click on and print right under the logo for the Conference.
The Official Showcase submission deadline is August 12. Send a cd with the 3 songs you want listened to marked, or a burned cd with those songs on it, one page bio, photo, the application form and a check or credit card number for $25 to SWRFA Showcase, PO Box 291466, Kerrville, TX 78029.
This year Thursday night will be an open mic by the pool hosted by Butch Morgan. All the feedback from last year indicated everyone was all about that time together and didn’t want to divide up into rooms until Friday night. Should be much fun, was last year!
The schedule page and some of the panelist names will be posted as well in the next few days.
Sunday morning Song Assignments was a huge hit and we will be doing it again. So much talent at this event.
