この場をお借りして，2025年度公募型利用の募集開始をお知らせいたします。
よろしくお願いいたします。
「学際大規模情報基盤共同利用・共同研究拠点」(通称: JHPCN)は、
下記のように2025年度の共同研究課題の公募を行います。
当公募では、計算科学・計算機科学・データ科学に関連する学際的な共同研究を
学術分野問わず広く募集いたします。研究期間は1年間（2025年4月～2026年3月）、
応募締め切りは2025年1月6日 17:00です。詳細は公募ウェブサイトをご参照ください。

公募関連のスケジュールは下記です。
・2024年11月15日 募集要項および申込書1 の公開
・2024年11月29日 13:30～ 2025年度公募説明会（録画も後ほど公開いたします）
・2024年12月上旬 申込書2 の公開
・2024年12月12日 課題申し込み受け付け開始
・2025年1月6日 17:00 課題申し込み受け付け終了
・2025年3月中旬 審査結果の通知
共同研究課題として採択されることで、以下のようなメリットがあります。
(1) 北海道大学、東北大学、東京大学、東京科学大学、名古屋大学、京都大学、大阪大学、
九州大学が個別に提供する大型計算資源（バッチ型・対話型計算機、ストレージ、ネッ
トワーク、可視化装置など）、データ活用社会創成プラットフォーム「mdx」を、採択時
に認められた範囲で無償利用することができます。
(2) 各拠点に在籍する先導的研究者を共同研究者とする研究体制の構築がサポートされ
ます。また、年次シンポジウムでの発表・参加を通して人的ネットワークの拡充を図る
ことができます。
(3) 採択年度および翌年度において、国際会議の発表旅費、論文掲載料や研究集会（ワーク
ショップ等）の会場利用料の経費助成を受けられる場合があります。
公募の説明会をオンラインで11月29日（13：30～）に開催いたします。

The JHPCN (Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures)
has now opened a new Call for proposals for Joint Research carried out in FY2025.

Schedule:
- November 15, 2024,Release of application form 1 and Call_for_Proposal.
- November 29, 2024, 13:30-, FY2025 Briefing Session of the Call for Proposals

- Early December 2024, Release of application form 2
- December 12, 2024, Beginning of the acceptance of proposal submission.
- January 6, 2025 10:00, Proposal Submission Deadline

The advantages of being selected as a joint research are as follows.

(1) Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, University of Tokyo,
Institute of Science Tokyo, Nagoya University, Kyoto University,
Osaka University, and Kyushu University provide computing resources
(batch and interactive computers, storage, networks,visualization devices, etc.)
and the "mdx: a platform for building data-empowered society"
free of charge to the extent approved.
(2) Establishment of a research system with leading researchers
enrolled at each center as co-researchers will be supported.
In addition, the program will help to expand the human network
through presentations and participation in the annual symposium.
(3) In the fiscal year of the grant and the following year, travel expenses
for presentations at international conferences, publication fees for papers,
and venue usage fees for research meetings (workshops, etc.)
may be supported by the grant.
The research period is one year (April 2025 - March 2026).
A briefing session will be held online on November 29 (from 1:30 p.m.).
An overview of the program will be provided, followed by a Q&A session.

Title: Call for JHPCN (Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale
Information Infrastructures) joint research proposals in FY2026
The JHPCN has released the call for joint research proposals for FY2026 on the website below.

The JHPCN welcomes proposals for interdisciplinary research conducted by groups of
researchers with different areas of expertise, aiming to create new fusion fields among
the three pillars of computational science, data science, and computer science,
or between these pillars and applied research fields.
November 17, 2025 Release of call for proposals and application forms .
November 27, 2025, 13:00- Briefing session of call for proposals (*)
December 11, 2025 Beginning of the proposal submission.
January 6, 2026 10:00 Proposal submission deadline
Mid-March 2026 Notification of review results

Within the range approved through the project review process,
computer resources can be used free of charge.

The following subsidies are provided for the accepted joint research project
– Expenses for peer-reviewed presentations at international conferences
(only for young or female researchers)
– Paper publication fees
– Facility fees for research meetings, workshops, and similar event
