Special Session on FPGA Technologies for Adaptive Computing (FTAC 2021)

in conjunction with IEEE 14th International Symposium on Embedded
Multicore/Many-core Systems-on-Chip (MCSoC 2021)
Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore
December 20-23, 2021
https://www.arch.cs.titech.ac.jp/ss/

* Abstract
This special session aims to discuss novel ideas and methodologies of
FPGA technologies for adaptive computing. As the attention to Artificial
Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) have been grown, the
needs for highly efficient computing systems and architectures have also
been increasing. FPGA technologies are one of the promising schemes for
highly efficient adaptive computing systems, where a specific
computation is done by hardware accelerators, with a much shorter time
and much smaller energy consumption.

* Topics of interest
Topics of interests of this special session include, but are not limited
to:
- FPGA acceleration for multicore/many-core systems-on-chip
- Innovative FPGA technologies
- Interconnection network and network-on-chip for adaptive computing
- Optimized soft processors on an FPGA
- FPGA components for robots and IoT devices
- Rapid-prototyping for FPGA-based computing engines
- Asynchronous computing circuits on FPGAs
- FPGA-based accelerators of machine learning applications

*Submission Information
The papers should be prepared according to the IEEE CS format and no
longer than eight (8) pages. Each submitted paper will be reviewed by
at least three reviewers and will be evaluated based on usefulness,
originality, relevance to the session's theme, and technical quality.
Submission of a paper implies that at least one of the authors will
register for the symposium, and an author will present the paper.
Proceedings of the symposium will be published by IEEE Computer Society
Press. Please submit your paper via the MCSoC 2021 submission site:
https://edas.info/N27016

*Important Dates
- Abstract submission: June 25, 2021 (Extended, AOE)
- Full paper submission: June 25, 2021 (Extended, AOE)
- Acceptance notification, July 20, 2021
- Camera-ready paper: August 10, 2021
