Dear all,
Via Tim Maudlin on Facebook, I have heard that Detlef Dürr passed away a few days ago, a victim of Covid-19.
Some of you may know his name via his work, usually with collaborators that included Shelly Goldstein and Nino Zanghì, on Bohmian mechanics. If you’ve had the privilege to have met him, you know that he was a warm and generous human being. His impact on foundations of physics goes beyond his writings, via his organization of workshops and summer schools, and via his influence on his students and others. He will be missed.
Best regards,
Wayne
