Just Desserts Ski at Enchanted Forest this Sat!!

Hi all,

There is a really fun event at Enchanted Forest XC Ski Area this Sat Feb 24th noon-2pm! It's Just Desserts Eat and Ski or Snowshoe! Most of Red River and friends of EFXC make amazing desserts that are placed at the base as well as other locations along their ski trails and you can snowshoe or ski from one set of desserts, eat, hang out and then go to the next! The list of desserts is on the event site and you get to vote on your favorite!! 

This was my first xc ski outing in this country with my friends taking me - it was brilliant and totally got me back into xc skiing (I didnt have gear but I could rent it all there which helped!)! So it's a great way to suck your friends/family new to skiing into trying it out or just back into it! This is super great with kids too, of course!

Plus, EFXC is a full service nordic area - that means they have all rentals you could possibly want, skate, classic, snowshoes, pulks to pull your little ones while they nap and more! They also offer lessons. They do run out of rental or at least run low during the more popular events like this one - so maybe call ahead to reserve/pay if you are planning to be there but will need rentals and sign up for a lesson while you are at it! They also rent yurts year round - you gotta try it sometime, staying in those is just brilliant!! you can view their summer yurt commercial here...you might even recognize someone in there... ;)
