Have you thought of skiing in the largest Nordic ski race in North America, taking on a marathon ski challenge, joining a huge celebration of Nordic skiing? Ski race options span from the signature Birkebeiner 55k race, Korteloppet 30k, prime Haakon 15k, Junior competitive sprint races, Parabirkie, BarkieBirke (skijoring), BarneBirke kids race, and the Giant Ski.

A SWNSC interest group will be forming to communicate about training, logistics and coordination for those traveling to the Birkebeiner. Please respond to Ann Satsangi if you would like to be included in the communication group.

If you are interested in learning more about the Birke come on out to the Tub for an information session Tuesday, June 30, at 7:45. (Following SWNSC hill bounding workout 6:30-7:30) Ann Satsangi will be on hand to answer questions and share personal experiences.

This is an event that requires advance planning. Registration sells out and housing need to be reserved. If you are already sure you want to participate note that the price increases this Friday.
