51st (!!) Chama Chile Ski Classic is ON for Sat Jan 13th!!!

Hi all, 

big thank you to those from our club and Sandia nordic who have offered their support to the Chama volunteers to ensure continuation of this wonderful historic event in our area! The 51st (!!!) Chama Chile Ski Classic is ON for Saturday Jan 13th! There are classic and snowshoe events (no freestyle this year). 

Please support this fun and historic event by volunteering or participating! Getting someone registered could be a neat experience gift for someone for the holidays if you are still needing ideas for someone on your list! Links with info and registration are below:

For those who are new to this event, here is a bit more info to plan ahead (and share with interested folks!)

If it's your first time do look up the course location BEFORE getting there as it's an area with spotty reception and you'll want to have your directions downloaded. Notice that the race course itself is actually located just PAST the CO/NM border, so it's technically in CO even though it's a Chama, NM event.

Until last few years our club has helped keep this race going by being entirely in charge of the grooming first with Tom Berg at the helm and then with Clay. We are not grooming for them this year but we hope lots of our club members attend to help support the event that way!
