Test Engineer - Engineering Solutions
* Communicates with international partners (internal and external)
* Utilizes automotive, telecommunications, and/or IT (infrastructure/Web/Mobile Application) experience to review specification and requirements
* Conducts performance of advanced validation cases to increase product stability and performance of products pre and post launch
* Executes validation cases, completes creative free testing and documents results
* Evaluates validation results. Writes validation reports and thoroughly documents failures to be presented to the client
* Conducts thorough analysis of failures to identify root cause
* Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related
* 2- 5 years of engineering experience, electrical, electronics, and/or computer
* A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Significant interest in complex testing processes
* Must be capable of working with little or no supervision in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated to learn and excel with their planned career goals
* Strong communication skills
* General automotive electronics knowledge
* Ability to interpret technical specifications
* Knowledge of automotive grade communication business systems
* Knowledge of embedded and integrated automotive control systems
* Knowledge of automotive infotainment and telematics systems in one of the following areas:
o Navigation systems and GPS technology
o Telecommunication and Bluetooth technology
o Analog and digital signal processing
o AM/FM/SAT radio technology
o Image and voice recognition technology
o Telematics technologies
* Experience with DOORS or equivalent management tool/system
* Experience with Android, Blackberry, Apple, iOS, or Windows Mobile operating systems
* Knowledge about mobile communication technologies (CDMA, GSM, LTE, WiMax)
* Prior experience in software testing or software development (vehicle electronics testing, CAN, embedded automotive systems, development/testing of AM/FM/SAT radio, telephone, Bluetooth, navigation systems)
* Usage of simulation tools such as Matlab, CANoe, Labview or dspace
* Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic
