For those interested, PBS' Frontline will air at 9 pm tonight "The Warning." This is the story of former FCTC chairperson Brooksley Born who tried over ten years ago to investigate the OTC derivatives which played a significant role in the recent economic meltdown.
Born had a legal right to investigate for fraud and other reasons but was stopped, the show maintains, because of the prevailing viewpoint in economics that government should let the market regulate business.
It now appears that were she allowed to do her job, it could have saved alot of people alot of hardship and loss.
