Save the Date - Neighborhood Meeting - March 24th - 7:00

Greetings neighbors!

We are delighted to welcome City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation to our March meeting! They have started working on their Master Plan and they want to get feedback. This will be a great opportunity to let them know your ideas for Sam Duff Park (within our neighborhood boundary), Baker Creek Preserve, and other city parks you may visit.

ALSO, March is our annual reorganizational meeting. SWNA members will be electing 2025 officers and board members (membership table

will be available to join before the vote). If you are interested in serving in a leadership role in SWNA, come to the meeting and nominate yourself or, if you can’t attend the meeting and want to serve, send an email to in...@swna-knox.org.

Be sure to come hungry! Once again The Roundup Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor will be feeding us.This time will be a spaghetti dinner. Be sure  to visit Sam @ Roundup Restaurant - just down the road at the corner of Lancaster and Sevierville Pike - and tell him “Thanks from SWNA!”

We will hear from Tommy Smith, 1st District City Council Representative, as well as a liaison from Knoxville Police Department.

All are welcome to attend. Come hear about exciting activities and projects in which SWNA is currently involved. Be a part of planning future projects that interest you. Bring a friend!

Greetings all,

A reminder that our neighborhood meeting is this upcoming Monday - 7:00 @ Woodlawn Christian Church.

We look forward to hearing from The City Parks and Recreation and learning about the process for updating the Mater Plan. This will be an excellent opportunity to provide input on what you want to for city parks.

We’ll also hear from our police liaison with an update on public safety and Debbie Helsley, SWNA Vice President and City Council At-Large representative, will give us a state of the 1st District update.

Survey says… 

Attached are results of our neighborhood survey. 20 individuals who responded by the March 17th deadline included their names for drawing of the $25 prize. This drawing will happen at the meeting.

There will be time set aside in the agenda for discussion of these survey results.

Again, come hungry! We’ll have spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread provided by The Roundup Restaurant.
