Parks Master Plan - South Knoxville Public Meeting 4/14

Greetings neighbors,

Those who made it to our recent neighborhood association meeting had the opportunity to hear about the City Park Master Plan from Sheryl Ely.

If you missed this meeting, join with other South Knoxville neighbors to hear about the master pan.

There is an interactive website where you can add your ideas for park updates at the project website: http://playknoxvilletn.com/

This email is being sent to neighborhood associations and partners in the 1st District of the City of Knoxville.

The City of Knoxville Parks & Recreation Department is seeking public input for a new Parks & Recreation Master Plan!  This Master Plan will shape the future of parks, greenways, trails, programs, etc. over the next decade.

We are seeking your feedback & your assistance to help share this with everyone!

How can you help?

• Share the project website is www.playknoxvilletn.com- there's a survey (15-20 minutes to complete) and interactive map where direct information can be provided on the map.  
• Attend and promote the Public Meeting in your district or you can attend any of the other public meetings - www.playknoxvilletn.com/meetings
• Monday, April 14 - South Knoxville Community Center - 6pm - 7:30pm

Hi Leigh Ann,

Are you referencing one of the developments on Hill Ave? Or at the terminus of JWP at Sevierville Pike?

If the former, I believe it is a storage facility going in near the old SunTrust Bank.

The north/east corner (where the safety building was) was slated for a Science Museum. Not certain if that’s still in the works.

If you are referencing the terminus at Sevierville Pike, that’s the Urban Wilderness Gateway Park Project
