Greetings neighbors!

We will be having our bi-monthly neighborhood meeting next Monday, July 22nd. 7:00 @ Woodlawn Christian Church.

Come learn about current status of development along the South Waterfront. We’ll have some project boards showing connectivity study report and strategy for implementing the South Waterfront plan. If you are not able to make it to the meeting, you can learn more at the following link on the city website.

To beat the heat, we’ll have nice, cold watermelon while we hear from our police liaison, City Council Representative, and our committee chairs.

NOTE: July has traditionally been the meeting where we collect back-to-school supplies for the schools where our kiddos attend.

Elementary School needs:
  • Good quality markers
  • Ticonderoga pencils
  • Individually wrapped snacks (no peanut butter)

Middle School needs:
  • Red ink pens (Paper Mate)
  • 3X5 lined cards
  • BIC pencils (retractable)
  • Pocket folders (plastic)

Cash donations are also welcome and will be put to use where the committee sees the greatest need.

NOTE 2: We need your help!! Our flyers will be ready for delivery tomorrow. Please send an email to in...@swna-knox.org if you can deliver flyers on your street. As my mother always said, ‘Many hands make light work.’

Stay cool and hope to see you at our meeting next week!
