Thank you Nancy. It is always a pleasure to receive checks for Project Help where I have served as President several times over the passed twenty years.
We are an emergency service that helps keep the lights on. Some people need help and are eligible for the federal assistance. Others can afford to keep up with the utility bill. Project Help steps in when there is an emergency of getting electricity turned off because of a loss of a job, high medical bills, or other emergencys that come along in life for those people in the middle who did not qualify for low income or be able to pay. This program is unique to the KUB area and is managed by the Knoxville-Knox County Community Service. All donations go strickly to emergencies whether there is the need for eletricity, coal, oil, or whatever it takes to keep a household warm. You can donate in January through Food City and Home Federal Bank. Other times you can check the box on your KUB bill and donate. Also there is an online donation form on the Project Help listing on the website. No federal funds are involved, strickly personal donations.
