Greetings all,

South Woodlawn’s annual reorganization meeting is this upcoming Monday, 6:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Christian Church.

Be sure to come hungry! Sam Tobea @ Roundup Restaurant is providing a spaghetti dinner - we have both meat and veggie options covered.

We will be electing officers and board members at this meeting. Here are the positions to be filled

President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Representatives for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd districts
4 At-Large representatives

Here’s a map showing the neighborhood and where the districts are (1st: Green; 2nd: Yellow; 3rd: Pink)

SWNA is looking for neighbors who are interested in helping guide and support our community by serving as an officer or board member.

Board service does not require a large time commitment — it involves attending meetings on the months that we do not have a neighborhood meeting, sharing ideas, and helping move neighborhood projects forward.

If you care about the future of South Woodlawn and would like to get more involved, we encourage you to consider serving. If you’re interested or would simply like to learn more about what’s involved, please reach out or speak with one of the current board members.

We will be taking nominations from the floor at the meeting - yes, self-nominations are encouraged :) If you cannot attend the meeting but are interested in being in a leadership position, please send an email to me - jto...@bellsouth.net.

Look forward to seeing you next Monday!

A reminder that our neighborhood meeting is this upcoming Monday.

Due to the snow, we missed our January Membership Outreach meeting, so in addition to elections, it’s time to pay annual dues.

$5 Senior
$10 Individual
$15 Family
$50 Business

Look forward to seeing you!

Hi there.
Just a reminder that when I stepped down from the BOG last year, I also stepped off committee commitments. I’m not on the membership committee. The primary reason I resigned from the board is that it is difficulty for me to make it to Monday night meetings (and the 6:30 time is even more challenging). I said at the time that the membership committee is going to need help, and I hope you can recruit someone to pitch in. Unfortunately, that can’t be me. I do hope to stop in Monday night to catch part of the meeting, but I’m not available to assist with the membership table. I’m sorry.

I have said that I would try to help with some individual projects, and I am still eager to move forward with assisting with the Welcome bags.

Thanks for your understanding,
jill

Thanks Jill.  I do understand your work requirements.  Harold had eye surgery this week as he could not see while driving and had to pull over for me to come and get him and take hime to hospital.  After Ft, Sanders had no eye specialists, and their plan to send him to UT in an ambulance which would take about 4 hours to get, I took him to UT,  n Tuesday, I had to take him to eye doctors, all day and surgery was Thursday with follow up today.  It has been quite a week and everything is behind.

I am coming off the board and committees this next year as it is a busy election year and I have to slow down a little.
I will still attend the meetings and be a member.  Sometimes you just have to say NO.,
Sylvia
