Greetings neighbors - I’m forwarding a message from Debbie Sharp - Office of Neighborhood Empowerment.
This is indeed exciting news.
Cheers!

=============
Work is beginning on the new pavilion and plaza at the Urban Wilderness Gateway Park - and the City would like for you and members of your neighborhood group to join us for a ground-breaking!
Save the date: Mayor Kincannon and others will break ground at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, at the southern terminus of James White Parkway, where it ends at Sevierville Pike.
We're excited! The 23,000-square-foot structure and plaza will contain four bathrooms, shade structures, a water refilling station, picnic tables, and play features that include slides and climbing areas nestled into slopes, amid natural boulders and landscaping.
Look for more details on the City's website as the Dec. 9 celebration draws nearer.
Thank you!
Debbie Sharp
