Can you please drop by at best apt sometime to check if they have started segregation ? Will help before we take up new ones.

We must ensure the success of each roll out till it is stable. Deccan Heights have also asked for a presentation. Knowing that you need to spend some time in monitoring best apt, shd we req someone else to do Deccan Heights? Anybody in the cc list??

Yes , we will visit the Best Apartment complex sometime tomorrow or Sunday.

Regarding Deccan Heights , I would like to make the presentation since a close friend of mine Mr. Badri Narayan stays there and is a member of RRNagar-I Care . He could be roped in to do the monitoring . Dilip and I will be out of station from 10th to 15th June , so this session can be planned in the week starting 17th .

Regards
K.N.Malathi

Brilliant!
Balaji, can you pl share the mobile number of the person who is inviting us? I dropped his card somewhere. You can also join Malathi if dates are finalised.

I need you to remember 2 things please.

1. You need to be there till it stabilises, meaning going there for checking once in a while. Your 2 efforts of session must yield results, and not be just a " listen & keeping still giving mixed waste
". Ensure that there is a larger presence. I was very disappointed with the turn up at best apt. Ensure that you also train the house keeping, watchman, PK, supervisor, Mohan is aware. Once training is done, BVG must not pick up mixed waste. Else, they will continue to give mixed waste.

2. No jumbo bags will be given to apts. they must make their own arrangements to pack them in some kind of black or white plastic bin bags. ITC has totally stopped giving us jumbo bags. How much ever I hate those black bin bags, we cannot avoid them here. Apt MUST neatly pack the bags or pure dry waste & keep them ready for PK. They cannot expect that from the PK who will stop over for 5 min to pick it up. They cannot just leave dry waste in bins & expect that it will be picked up.

Hi Veena,

Deccan Heights contact, Mr Prabhu 98444 45680.

Understand the stability issues post presentation: why don’t we try out a different ways to tack it? e.g.

-          Issue a single page letter which says the presentation was done to apartment

-          Get the signature of attendees

-          Dos & Donts from the day of presentation onwards, i.e. what happens if mix waste is given

-          Responsibilities of association & PKs or supervisors

-          Possible penalty if not adhered to

We started community way, but to have it more sustainable, some sort of binding is required. I am not sure if everything said above can be done. May be this is taken care of as part of “Kasa-Mukti” program.

Having said all, yes, until there is a formal step to ensure that segregation is happening, we need monitor…

Regards,

Balaji

Folks, I visited best apt this morning. They have not yet started with Segregation in spite of the elaborate ppt made by Malathi,  Niveditha, Savitha & me to 30% of the inmates. They have asked for more time. Lets monitor.

Yep! The assn president is taking pains to push the occupants, especially the rental cases. Arranging for trolleys. They said they'll get back in a couple of days.
