Hi,

I've been thinking about a Swiz logo for a while in the back of the mind - I wanted something a bit clever, modular, and simple.

With the help of a bit of Lambic, it came together last night.

What do you think of this?

In a styleised way, the letters SWIZ are broken up into modules (petals) and arranged to form a system (the flower, a common symbol for simplicity) which also looks a bit like an exclamation mark.

:-)

If it appeals, I'll spend some time polishing it up. Just let me know.

Hi again,
I see that my english translation was so bad I mean "without valorate your vision" is not what I want to say...
better "taking into account your proposal"

sorry! : )

Nice but also think of something that connects organized things using
wires (autowire) and a kind of lighting / spark passing through them
to that organized things (mediate)(organized packages) :-) all the
best...
or announce a logo contest n choose the one with most votes... simple
and yet we will have so much logos to choose from...

As usual, I didn't explain where I was coming from very well :-)

Here's the derivation - showing more clearly how the SWIZ letters are integrated in the logo... just because!

Use of square brackets is a great idea, given the metadata-driven
nature of the framework!

Very nice logos, keep em coming and i too have a good idea but i need
very few days to complete it and then i'll post it here,
@Ben senior, ur logo is very good but its difficult to read swiz from
it, it would be nice if every one who sees it is able to identify it
as swiz in a sec or two, (just my thought and no offense intended)

Well onto something with the first of the three. I like the inset drop shadows and the colors. I think the font needs to be heavier, and maybe we can get "brutally simple" across the bottom?

My wife Inara also did some logo sketches a few month ago.

I'll send a new version with "Brutally simple" at the bottom tonight.

Why not do something incorporating "swizzle sticks"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swizzle_stick

Maybe a view from the top down on a martini glass with a swizzle
stick.

Lots of great choices...

I liked http://skitch.com/soenkerohde/nrnyh/swiz.pdf (The 2nd one on
the left column)

And I will refrain from voting for myself lol...

Thanks
