Trying to compare date

So I have these two data sets, one about gun ownership rates by state
and one of homocide by gun rates. The gun ownership just has two
columns, state names and its associated gun ownership percentage. The
data on homocide rates shows each year since the 70s in the rows and
the state name as the columns.

Ok, say I just wanted just wanted one year of homocides, but with
every state. Is there an easy way to do this? This way, then maybe I
can compare the two data.

The only other way I can think of is to go to Excel and transpose the
whole table.

There is not yet a transpose option on Swivel. The easiest thing to
do for now is to transpose the data manually in Excel or a similar
program and re-upload it into Swivel.

However, this is a feature that will eventually be put into Swivel.
