Join the National Book Foundation, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, and The Cooper Union for the 2024 Science + Literature Ceremony—celebrating the three remarkable 2024 Science + Literature selected titles in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry: The Bathysphere Book: Effects of the Luminous Ocean DepthsThe Glass Constellation: New and Collected Poems, and Digging Stars. The program is free and open to the public, and will feature readings and conversation with authors Brad Fox, Arthur Sze, and Novuyo Rosa Tshuma. Emily Raboteau, author of Lessons for Survival, hosts. Books will be available for sale with thanks to our partners at Housing Works, an organization dedicated to ending HIV/AIDS and homeless through lifesaving services and relentless advocacy.

On Wednesday, March 27, we're celebrating the third year of our Sloan-funded Science + Literature program––which highlights diverse voices in science + tech writing, across genres––with a public ceremony at The Cooper Union featuring readings and conversation with 2024 selected authors Brad Fox (The Bathysphere Book), Arthur Sze (The Glass Constellation), and Novuyo Rosa Tshuma (Digging Stars), hosted by writer and CUNY professor Emily Raboteau.



The event's free and open to the public, but we're asking folks to RSVP here.
