Science Writers in New York aims to bring writers, editors, and scientists together. Your membership dues make this possible while providing you some very practical benefits. 

Membership is just $30 per calendar year — less than a take-home pizza plus soda, or a couple of drinks and a tip. And because fee-based SWINY events are discounted for members, your membership pays for itself.

• SWINY’s latest job postings in your mailbox up to a week before they are posted on the site
• Discounts on fee-based SWINY events
• First dibs on reserving a spot at SWINY’s (often limited-access) events
• First dibs on new SWINY benefits, as they become available

Please note: Because SWINY dues are assessed on a calendar-year basis, memberships expire on December 31. New members are required to pay full dues for their first year regardless of joining date unless they join within the last two months of the year. In that case, dues roll over and include the upcoming year.
