CASW's next Connector Chat will be next Wednesday, October 9 at 3:30 pm ET / 12:30 pm PT. Join us for an informal conversation with STAT's national science correspondent Usha Lee McFarling, this year's Cohn Prize winner, and writing coach and LA Times Column One editor Steve Padilla. We'd love if you could spread the word to your members.
The conversation will focus on some of Usha's award-winning stories, particularly those on racial disparities in the health care system. The Chat will be a behind-the-scenes look at the craft of reporting and writing, covering such topics as finding stories, organizing your material, talking about hard topics, the importance of diverse voices, how to end stories, and much more. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions.
The Chat will take place on Zoom and will be recorded, so even if you can't make the live time, register anyway to receive a tipsheet and link to the recording afterward.
