Hi friends and colleagues,
A reminder that we have two great events fast approaching. If you have other writer friends who might be interested but aren't on my list, feel free to spread the word. These aren't exclusive to AHCJ members, but hopefully help showcase our stellar (IMO!) community and programming.
SEPT 25: Reporting on GLP-1s and Eating Disorders
A panel of experts will talk about what nuances are often missed in discussions and stories about drugs like Ozempic, and what journalists should keep an eye out for next. This will be an intimate discussion with plenty of time for Q&A and meeting each other and the panelists, along with a chance to enjoy some generously donated food and drink.
Where: The Malin NoMad, 387 Park Ave South, 5th Floor
When: September 25, 6pm-8pm
OCT 1: Fiction Writing 101
Even if you don't think you have the desire or drive to write fiction, this workshop will challenge you to tap into your creativity and get out of any sort of writing rut. Leading us will be Politico health reporter--turned--novelist Amanda Eisenberg, whose first book "People Are Talking" came out this past spring.
Where: The Luminary, 1204 Broadway (check in on 4th Floor; event is 3rd floor)
When: October 1, 5:30pm-6:30pm.
RSVP: If you registered for the original event, you automatically have a spot at the new one. If you didn't, there are still some tickets available here. Unless you happen to be a Luminary member, please select the "in-person guest of speakers" option.
SAVE THE DATE: December 2. AHCJ members are going to be invited to a fancy and first-of-its kind celebration of leaders in fertility medicine and advocacy. Stay tuned for more details.
Hope to see many of you soon,
Anna
