Big Apple/California practices at HotJam August 11, 18, September 1, 8

Michelle and Nima at HotJam have generously agreed to let us practice the Big Apple/California routine--the choreographed routine we're performing as part of the program at Swingin' from the Heart events--for the specialty class 7-8pm at HotJam on Aug 11th, Aug 18th, Sept 1st and Sept 8th (skip Aug. 25.) Several folks who were interested in practices said this would be the best time.

I will adjust the class according to who shows up: If there are folks who don't know the routine, I'll teach it from the beginning--we'll learn/review a different quarter segment each week. If folks already know the routine, we'll spend the time running through it and tightening up the rough spots. If you want to learn the routine and can't make it to all 4 sessions, or feel you need more time than most folks to learn choreography, don't fret - you'll be able to follow along with the others who know the routine, and for practicing on your own I've posted the written-out steps and video clips online on the ASEDA forum at http://www.aseda.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2492 - scroll down to the seventh post.

You do not need to be an advanced dancer to learn this routine. You do need to be comfortable doing a swingout, lindy circle, and charleston.
Bring your jumping-around shoes, 'cause this is a high-energy routine and we're gonna move!
