Hey Swingin' from the Hearters-
Eastside Gardens, an assisted living facility in Snellville with an energetic activities program, is interested in having us come out for a sock hop-themed event to dance with their seniors.
We're looking at Saturday October 24, at 4pm.
Please contact me if you think you can make it. (No regrets, please.)
Dancers of all levels are welcome and needed! We'll put together the program based on who can come, but SFTH's program is generally some combination of helping others learn the basic steps of the dance in a group lesson, dancing with them, performance of choreographed routines if we've got someone who can do that, a "social Big Apple" where someone calls out and demonstrates a traditional jazz steps and the group follows, and/or social dancing with a low-pressure jam. This is a great performance opportunity for any couples out there who have choreographed performance/competition routines they'd like to break in in front of an audience.
