Just a simple request to everyone coming into the warm winter venues.  Could you please keep the aftershave, scented deodorant, hair product and perfume to a minimum?  

When everyone arrives fresh from their showers the air is full of a medley of scents which linger for well over an hour.  In the summer we can open the windows but the heaters in the cooler weather activate the smells.   There are quite a few asthmatics among us and the atmosphere is not just uncomfortable for them it may trigger an attack and be potentially dangerous.

Kenneth's 84½ Birthday Bash

Unfortunately we cannot use the Ashburton Hall for our usual September FFF dance on 19th, but Kenneth is planning his half year birthday bash the next afternoon on Sunday 20 September and he has organised Hot Club Swing to play.  

It will be BYO everything and we will make a donation at the door towards Kenneth's expenses rather than taking gifts.

The hall that has been hired is not huge so it is important to book through me if you'd like to come so that numbers can be controlled.  We have already filled half our quota.   Please email me (p...@lindyhop.com.au)  to reserve a place and to get information on  the venue details.
