The Melbourne Lindy Exchange is the biggest event in our Swing Dancing Calendar - don't miss an opportunity to get to one of the events.
OPUS 21 BIG BAND SATURDAY 5 November @ MELB UNIVERSITY - IN HAWTHORN
Opus 21 Big Band hold a swing dance on the first Saturday of each month which is designed especially for Swing Dancers.
The huge venue with it's beautiful wooden floor and a band playing swing music all night makes for some great dancing. Give it a try and let us know how you enjoy it.
Where? Blackman Hall, Melbourne University Hawthorn Campus, 442 Auburn Road, Hawthorn cnr Woodburn Road. Parking underneath at rear - enter hall via front Entrance. This is a fantastic venue with a huge wooden dance floor and mountains of space to enjoy yourselves
7.30 - 11.15 pm (dancing starts at 7.45pm) $16 per person – free tea & coffee all night, BYO Drinks and nibbles.

MELBOURNE LINDY EXCHANGE 24-27 November
This is one of the longest running swing events in the country, and is definitely one of the biggest social exchanges going.
Andrew Dickeson's Blue Rhythm Band - is a band for dancers. They do what Basie did. They play 4 solid beats to the bar and no cheating.
Georgia and her Sentimental Gentlemen - Coming from a strong background of classical & jazz vocals, Georgia has assemble some of Melbourne's finest musicians playing some choice repertoire to cook up a storm on stage and on the dance floor!
The Basement Big Band - With one foot firmly planted in the rich history of Swing Era America and the other Lindy Hopping into the now, The Basement Big Band are Sydney’s very own 14 piece dance orchestra lead by Justin Fermino.
The Oz Big Band are dedicated to recreating the music and energy of the great big bands of the 30's, 40's and 50s. The band has become popular amongst the jazz and swing dance scenes around Australia for it's authenticity and high energy.
Michael McQuaid's Midnight Four is back with some red hot, late night, swinging excellence.
