If any artist typifies what this forum is about it is Frank Vignola. An
acoustic player, with influences across the board, but always seems to
veer back to swing. There is even a signature Benedetto bearing his
name, needless to say it is an acoustic, but sadly no longer featured
on their website. He has a very interesting turn of phrase. Check out
Swing 39 a track on the Concord Jazz Guitar Collective CD ( also
available on iTunes), where he plays with Howard Alden and Jimmy Bruno.
He places quite a lot of emphasis on swinging his quavers compared to
many players. I also came across this interesting little web site
promoting guitar CDs http://www.vmdownloads.com/ which has some nice
samples of him playing.
