to Swing Jazz Guitar
No drums ...no problem! Getting that rhythm to sound like brushes is
not so difficult. It is achieved by a heavy down stroke followed by a
mute with the right hand, so the strings ring out long enough to
discern the harmony, but are quickly choked off giving the sound a
natural compression, very similar to brushes sliding over a snare.
Hammer out the two and four, making sure the bass and guitar lock in
tight, and toes will start tapping.
