Well the meeting went rather well. I'll be rather sad when this is
all over to be honest because I've really enjoyed being involved in
this...

Anyway... Steve said its fine for us to place posters around the site
for our treasure hunt. There may be another group doing a similer
kind of thing too so thats possibly something we need to be aware of
but details on that were a bit sketchy at present (no-one involved in
this was present at the meeting)

We'll be placed in the eco zone which is on the left hand side (if
you're stood at the kiosk) I'l not quite sure of the exact layout but
I've asked Steve to forward the map of the park by the end of this
week so we'll have more of an idea.

I spoke to Maggie this morning regarding some fair trade stuff to sell
and she said she'd sort us some stuff out. If need be she can put in
an emergency order in (to come next week) but she thinks it'll all be
fine. I'm not working this week (Lucy being ill) but I said I'd speak
to her either tomorrow or Thursday (she's off Friday) I was a bit
unsure about the clothes (I couldn't remember exactly what we were
looking for) but I will discuss that (and write it down IN FULL!) at
tomorrows meeting.

They still haven't done much advertising for the event but there is a
roadshow type thing in town on Saturday (with freebies) and most
secondary schools are being visited next week. They are also going to
hit town on the Saturday morning of the festival with flyers,
targetting the two main areas kids congregate - McD's and Havalock
(the Brunel Monument).

Weather could be a problem (obviously) so I suggested trying to obtain
free (off Orange or Swindon town perhaps) rain capes *just in case*
They mentioned they had some gazebos and I hinted that we were looking
to try and get one - they didn't offer the use of any of theirs so
I've posted a request on facebook so if I get any replies, I'll let
you know.

Lastly, one concern we all had was food. They only seem to have one
caterer (indian) covering the event in the bowl. We've pushed for
more to be brought in (or else kids will just go to the chippy and
possibly never return) but this also is something to be aware of.

I think thats about it. See you all tomorrow
