The build process isn’t too difficult with the excellent DJI 450 quadcopter kit, which allows various options to be taken to reach each users end goal, whether it be simple flying or the more advanced (and costly) First Person Viewing (FPV) camera set-up.

Nice post.  Just one observation the image that shows up in the articles listing (http://swindon.hackspace.org.uk/blog/quadcopter-builds/1.jpg) is a 3888x2592, 2.1Mb jpeg that gets scaled down anyway and it takes aaages to load if you are on a slow connection.

Doh!

Steve actually provided scaled down versions for all images, but the index image is specified differently so must have been overlooked.

The scaled down version is being used now.  Thanks for letting us know. :)
