Could anyone give me a few pros and cons for a black bottom inground
pool? We are debating. We will need to resurface our pool soon and
are undecided whether to go black, pebble, or something else. We now
have Tahoe Blue and it usually looks dirty (when it is clean). Thank
you

The pros of a black bottom pool are: 1 it's a very pretty finish: 2 it
doesn't show dirt as much as a lighter color and: 3 it keeps the pool
a couple degrees warmer than a lighter finish. The cons are: it
invariably develops a "chalkness". Mostly due to calcium deposits.
This really detracts from the appearance. You can minimize this effect
by keeping the ph down (7.2-7.8) & keeping the water in balance.
I don't recommend a black finish. There are some very pretty " pebble
tech" finishes that look great and are available in darker colors.

Sent from my ipod touch.

Kevin,
Thank you for your input. Do you know if pebble tech finishes are
difficult to keep clean and hard to walk on?
Thanks again,
