We are coming out of beta! This is our first official release and we could not have gotten here without our incredible user community. Thank you to everyone who participated in the beta and helped us improve the app! We are just getting started and we will continue to raise the bar with Options+.
After a year of beta testing by more than 500,000 people, the largest beta to date at Logitech, we are excited to announce that Logi Options+ app version 1.0 is available today. Options+, our software platform that enables Logitech mice and keyboards users to enhance and customize their workflow experience, combines the best features of its predecessor Options with a new interface. We simplified the wireless product pairing process, added pre-set profiles for popular applications, improved our mass-deployment feature and added support for M1 Macs. As of today we support over 25 mice and keyboards with more products being added during 2022 with every Options+ release, including MX Master 3S and MX Mechanical Keyboard announced today. In order to provide even greater value to our community, new features will be added into Options+ on a regular basis.
We designed Options+ to help you work productively at your personal best by customizing your Logitech products to suit your needs, workflows and preferences. The feedback we received from our beta community was inspiring and we look forward to delivering new levels of performance, features and functionality, to provide the best experience for our Logitech community.
Logitech themselves have articles about how to install and configure Logitech options and the specific security/privacy settings (System Preferences - Security & Privacy) required. Interestingly, after installing the latest version (9.40.75) all of the settings are configured with the exception of "Automation". Logitech say the "Logi Options Daemon" must be selected and the boxes checked for System Events & Finder - but the logi Options Daemon is not installed in the "Automation" list.
Its worth noting add that Logi Options + (Beta testing would be the reason someone has this installed rater than regular Logi Options at the moment) for some bizarre reason does not have the "Logi Options Daemon.app" in its package (or at least, I could not find it). It's resulted in me uninstalling Logi Options + and resorting to regular so that I have a working app. The dangers of beta testing I suppose.
Hi I am having a similar issue. I recently just got the new M1 Max Macbook running Monterey 12.1 (was previously running Big sur 11.4 on early 2015 model), I set up logi options and it detected the mouse just fine, however the horizontal scroll feature doesn't scroll through the browser tabs on the new OS and device which is really annoying. Has any one else had this issue? Any suggestions?
Who to blame, I think this will always fall with the third party developers. Apple are providing a free OS which will be optimised for Apple Hardware but they do provide beta versions for third party developers to re-engineer their soft/hardware to be compatible. As with any upgraded OS, functions etc will be extended to fit in with Apple strategy and it would be impossible for them to test functionality against the myriad of third party hardware/software out there.
The application itself supports a plethora of options, and even multiple layers to switch to alternative sets of assignments easily, but I only used the two shown in my linked screenshot to reassign the buttons.
Daily LogiOptions + goes to not responding and will utilize 90-95% of the CPU processing and will need to force quit the app. On relaunch the app will hang an the purple loading screen and the spinning circle trying to load but never complete. To resolve the issue I end up needing to uninstall the Options + app and reinstall for it to work. I try to remove the /Library/Preferences/com.logitech.Logi-Options.plist as well as com.logi.optionsplus.plist, com.logi.cp-dev-mgr.plist and will then attempt to relaunch the app but the same thing occurs where it hangs on the loading screen and never opens.
I am using a new logitech mx master 3 mouse and I have easily assigned mouse buttons to keystrokes/functions in other programs and just wanted to basically set my forward and back to redo and undo, and make the gesture button act as shift + middle mouse button in order to orbit. The logitech options app has all of the options to do this but none seem work with fusion despite working everywhere else I have tried.
Hello I fixed this problem by deleting the Fusion 360 custom settings in the Logitech options menu and adding it again when Fusion 360 is running. Sadly this will erase all older settings but now it works again, btw windows Logitech options custom settings do not transfer over to mac Logitech options.
Changing the preferences in fusion 360 to Tinkercad option did allow to pan with middle mouse button press down and orbit using the right hand mouse button but then I couldn't right click for options on Fusion desktop.
EDIT (5/12/2021): for some reason on windows there are 2 fusion 360's option in logitech options so I had to change settings on both of them and see which one had an effect, if you see this do not panic.
I am holiday, packed the wdhd, but not the remote. Is there any way to read the files on my tv, and to select options (eg. via pc?) Not sure I can find a universal remote good for WD (I am in Turkey). Any ideas?
