login problem

I tried several day to solve login problem...but i couldn't

please help me to solve it


I try with swifttide19901.tar and swifttide19902.tar (esyphp& XAMPP)

The login page no accept any password..I really need it pls help me..

Try running the system_check.php script. This will give you quite a
bit of information on your system setup and help diagnose the problem.

So for instance, let's assume I installed in the directory "school",
and I am running it from the machine that has XAMPP on it, I would
open my browser and type:

http://127.0.0.1/school/system_check.php

Report back on the outcome.

OK, here's where I would start:

1. Edit your configuration.php and delete the line that says
include_once "lang_en.php"
2. Edit index.php and delete the line that says
include_once "installation/version.php"

Please use the 19902 version. Also, the system_check output, were
there any issues below what you show on the screenshot (you will need
to scroll down in your browser to see all that it outputs).

I don't see the lang_en.php issue in 19902, so use that version.

And just fair warning, I really view Windows as part of the problem.
So get yourself a Linux box, and you'll probably be up and working no
problems.

Check the file configuration.php

You should have a line similar to this:

DEFINE('_MAX_ATTEMPTS', 5);

If you don't have that line, add it.

Hello Doug,
I installed the latest version but i can't create new students on the
system. Iam on a shared server using Cpanel.

The code was not there so I added it / but It dosen't work yet...

Is it possible for you send me your info.php (for compare with my own)
or at least version of PHP and Apache that u use it?

Ronnie, can you start a new thread please?  It make it easier when people search for solutions if each problem is in its own thread.
Need more info on your issue.  You try to create  a new student.  OK, what do you do?  Do you enter in names, IDs, ethnicity, etc?  Do you get an error?
